Check your AI visibility
A free self-test for software companies in two parts: do AI assistants name your software when buyers ask? And may the AI crawlers read your website at all? About 15 minutes, no signup.
- 1Create buyer questions
- 2Ask them in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google
- 3Check robots.txt for AI crawlers
What you enter stays in your browser. We store and send nothing.
Part 1: The question test
Part 2: The AI crawler check
How to read the result
- Never named
- Check part 2 first. If the crawlers are allowed, what’s usually missing is pages that answer the questions, and mentions in other sources.
- Named for facts, not for recommendations
- The models know you, but don’t see you as the obvious choice. Comparison pages and reviews on software review sites help here.
- Named, but with wrong facts
- Old prices or missing features. Fix the sources: your website first, then the review sites.
- Named often
- Good. Ask the same questions again in a month. Answers vary, and competitors catch up.
Why one test isn’t enough
AI answers aren’t stable. The same question often returns different vendors in a new chat, and signed-in users sometimes get personalized answers. A screenshot isn’t a result.
Ask each question in a new chat, ideally two or three times, and note how often you’re named. Compare with your competitors. Only many questions and repeats give you a reliable picture. More in our guide on getting mentioned in ChatGPT.
Prefer to have it measured and improved every week?
We’re starting with a few software companies and opening up step by step. The first customers get founding terms. Cancel monthly, no minimum term.

Frequently asked questions
Is the test free?
Yes, no signup and no catch. The test runs entirely in your browser.
Do you store what I enter?
No. The question test and the crawler check run in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server.
Why doesn’t the test query ChatGPT automatically?
Because this way you see the answers your buyers see. Automated queries through APIs sometimes return different answers than the apps, and they cost money per request. Ongoing measurement across many questions is exactly the work we do.
What’s the difference between GPTBot and OAI-SearchBot?
GPTBot collects content for training OpenAI’s models. Only if OAI-SearchBot is allowed can your pages appear as sources in ChatGPT search answers. You can block GPTBot and still allow OAI-SearchBot.
Should I block training crawlers?
It’s a trade-off. A block keeps your content out of future training, but doesn’t affect search. One exception: Google-Extended also controls whether the Gemini app uses your content to ground its answers. If you want models to know your product even without web search, you’ll probably want to allow the training crawlers.
What exactly does the crawler check test?
Whether the main crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Microsoft, Apple and Common Crawl may fetch your homepage according to robots.txt, following the RFC 9309 standard. It doesn’t detect blocks at the server or firewall level.
