SEO for software companies
We aim your SEO at the Google searches buyers make right before they decide: comparisons, alternatives, pricing and use cases. And we do the work instead of just advising.

Fewer visitors, more buyers
Many software sites use blog posts to attract visitors who never buy. The searches that bring revenue are smaller and more specific: “time tracking for agencies”, “Zeitly alternative”, “Taktra pricing”. That’s where buyers are, and often only your competitors or review sites show up there.
We point your SEO at those searches and measure success where it counts: demo requests and trial signups, not page views.
What’s different about SEO for software
B2B software is bought in stages, by several people, after a lot of comparing. Each stage has its own searches, and each needs its own page.
- Problem
- Buyers describe their problem, such as “track project hours agency”. This is where in-depth articles help, if they explain the problem better than your competitors do.
- Solution
- Buyers search for a category, such as “time tracking for agencies”. Product and use-case pages with clear facts help here.
- Vendor choice
- Buyers compare, such as “Taktra vs Zeitly”. Fair comparison and alternatives pages help here. These searches are small, but close to purchase.
- AI Overviews
- Google increasingly answers pure knowledge questions itself. Searches close to purchase keep their value, and AI answers have levers of their own. See our page on GEO for software companies.

Frequently asked questions
What does SEO cost for a software company?
German agencies for B2B tech and software publish entry prices from about €2,500 a month, some with a minimum term. Freelancers in DACH ask a median of about €80 an hour. XEO sets its prices at launch: cancel monthly, with founding terms for the first customers.
How long until SEO works?
Technical errors and weak page titles can be fixed quickly, and the effect often shows after a few weeks. New pages usually take months to rank steadily. Anyone promising faster results is promising too much.
Is SEO worth it if few people search for our category?
Often, yes. A few very specific searches from buyers bring more than many visitors with no intent to buy. And comparison and alternatives searches exist even in small niches.
Do we need new content, or is improving existing pages enough?
Usually both, in that order: first we get more out of the pages you already have. New pages come where buyers search and you don’t have an answer yet.
Do you write in German or English?
In the language your buyers search in. For many DACH companies that’s German, for some English, often both.
Do you work with our CMS?
We work with the common systems. We confirm the access we need before launch with a short checklist. A person reviews every change before it goes live.
